Ep. 83 Dan Cumberland | Finding Meaning in Your Work

Dan Cumberland

Today we discuss finding meaning in your work.

Welcome back to the 83rd episode of the Hard Thing Podcast.

Today I share my conversation with podcast host, Dan Cumberland. You can reach out to Dan at callingcourse.com as well as his podcast, the Meaning Movement.

Dan and I had a great conversation where we talked about meaning, callings from God, and figuring out what you’re supposed to do with your life.

Dan had some really great insights on parenting as well, namely, that you shouldn’t reflect yourself into your conversations with others but rather reflect them and what they need.

Dan also shared the 4 P’s of Job Satisfaction

  1. People
  2. Process
  3. Product
  4. Profit

We even talked about bad advice from a pastor!

As always, Dan left us some action items:

  1. Do the Test and Try exercise
  2. Self-Reflection Writing
  3. Write your goals every day.
