Ep. 10 Labor Day Special – 10 Ways to Build Work Ethic

Welcome back to the 10th episode of the Hard Thing Podcast! This is the LABOR DAY SPECIAL! In this Episode, we talk about work, specifically 10 Ways to build your work ethic. First we talk about this weeks Instrument of Change: *** This week’s instrument of change is the MyPlate App. It’s an app that allows you to count calorie intake and metabolic output, as well it helps track your progress of your goals and, if you sign up for it, it gives you a meal plan. It’s an excellent way to start taking control of your diet. As a challenge, record what you eat for a week and see how useful this app is. *** In today’s episode, we talk about work. Having the reputation of being the hardest worker is, in my opinion, more valuable than being know for being the best at some particular thing. I believe this because being known as a hard worker translates to any other aspect of your life, as does the skill of being a hard worker. I believe when you are a hard worker, you are truly a formidable person. I then introduce 10 ways to build your work ethic. The 10 ways are: 1. Change your Mindset 2. Understand Work’s Importance 3. Workout 4. Increase it Incrementally 5. Find Competition 6. Rewared Yourself 7. Notice your Progress 8. Enjoy the Sweat (Embrace the Suck) 9. Plan It 10. Work Doing any one, or a combination of these tactics will help you increase your work ethic and open up more opportunities for you. Overall, it will improve your life and help you overcome average. *** In the show we also talk about our new show sponsor, Audible. They are a premiere audiobook platform that offers over 180,000 different titles you can listen to from your Iphone, Android or any other device.
